A walk around the Free State of Christiania soon reveals an absolute wealth of photography opportunities. The area is a green and car-free neighbourhood in Copenhagen, known for its free alternative way of life. Christiania was established in 1971 and is a mix of houses, workshops, art galleries, music venues and open park land set around a lake.
I’ve been wanting to visit New York for a very long time. It is such a fascinating place with it’s buzzing street life and larger than life buildings that tower above you.
Iceland set in the North Atlantic conjures up many images for visitors. There is something about the volcanic landscape and surreal light that is magic for landscape photographers. Add to this the quirky and small capital city of Reykjavik and you have a varied and vibrant holiday destination.
China has always had a strong draw for me. So much colour and culture – it really is a treat to photograph. I had the good fortune to live in Beijing for a short while and naturally had to capture it. A complete melting pot of tradition and the communist revolution of 1949 and now embracing the modern world of consumerism at breakneck speed.
