This was my first visit to Skylark Farm set deep in the countryside on the Warwickshire and Worcestershire border. The day started at Fran’s sister’s house in Rugby where the Bridal Party were busy getting ready. Fran had chosen an incredible dress and delightful yellow flowers for the day – when ready she looked absolutely stunning! It was then off to the ceremony where Jame’s our Groom was waiting. As Fran arrived the heavens opened up and the rather traditional winter wedding crept in with rain and sleet all day – not that this mattered as this was a cosy winter wedding full of close friends and family.
After the ceremony we went outside where I strategically kept the guests dry whilst capturing the group photos (I didn’t stay very dry!) which was followed by some lovely portraits under shelter from the rain. The wedding breakfast was held in Skylark Farm’s main hall which was lavishly decorated with Harry Potter references. After a pie and mash dinner came the speeches which commenced with Fran’s mother giving an emotional start to proceedings, followed by James and then his twin brother. After the cake cut came the first dance where guests partied the night away.
